SUNSET SERIES FIRST SERIES RESULTS

The first series is complete now. All races were completed in warm calm surf conditions, favoring the pool swimmers and runners.

Next series is underway on the 11th February, 18th, final race and BBQ on the 25th. c'mon surf club, we need some more starters and guards please.

Held in conjunction with the Eastern Bay Multisport and Triathlon Club, the Sunset Series will see competitors swimming 500 metres from the surf clubrooms before they run a 2.5km circuit along Ohope Beach.

Registrations will be taken each Wednesday evening at 5.30pm at the lifesaving club followed by a race briefing at 6pm. The race will start at 6.15pm and is open to competitors aged 13 years and over. The races will include grades for male and female competitors in the under-16, under-19, open and masters categories. The Sunset Series will be held over two legs with the first leg starting and continung with races next Wednesday 14, 21 and 28th January . The second leg will be run every Wednesday from 11th 18th and 25th February.

A BBQ at the clubhouse will be held after racing each third night. All clubbies and members urged to attend this exciting set of series.
